One of the things I was really looking forward to before I went abroad was my opportunity to spend time with elephants in Thailand. This ended up being just the beginning to one amazing week.  Our group started off in Chiang Mai, where we were emerged into its culture. We stayed the night in a local village, made delicious Thai food at a cooking school, visited Wat Phat That Doi Suthep (temple), checked out several markets, zip lined, received Thai massages, and of course spent time with elephants. I really loved exploring this side of Thailand. Buddha image

After Chiang Mai, we headed to Krabi, followed up by Phi Phi Island, and Phuket.  This is where the ‘beaches’ part came into the trip. We stayed at beautiful resorts and spent a lot of time in the water, boating, snorkeling, and drinking fruity cocktails. We also experienced Thailand’s nightlife, which included a lot of fire and excitement. Southern Islands Thailand

Overall, traveling to South East Asia to witness Thailand’s culture and see some of the most beautiful views was an amazing opportunity. I’m glad I got to learn a little bit more about the world. Below is a video I made of my time there. Watching it takes me back to all of the great memories and I hope you enjoy!
