Traveling from subway station to subway station, I was never really given the full picture of Seoul until I finally stood on the top floor of one of the city\u2019s largest buildings. Seoul is enormous. The buildings truly go on and on, and with them are a million different picturesque landmarks you could add to your visit. In a land filled with historical and modern beauty for miles, it can be hard to decide which famous spots to hit up along your trip. Here are some spots I think are worth squeezing in between all the cafe hopping and shopping:<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Seoul Tower<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Speaking of ways to see the big picture, Seoul tower is not only one of the most recognizable features of the city, but is also a great way to take in the skyline. Whether you come in the day or night time, taking the hike or the sky rail up to the tower is truly a worth-it experience in my book. With beautiful historical buildings and gardens covering the palace grounds, you really start to feel like you have been taken back in time once to pass through the palace gates. Not only is it a great spot to enjoy the history of Seoul, but you can also become a part of the history through wearing the traditional Korean Hanbok clothing inside the palace! It was so fun to see everyone\u2019s beautiful outfits, and the traditional dress really did allow me to focus on the beauty of the grounds. Such a beautiful area!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\"><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Bukchon Hanok Village <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Only a twenty minute walk from the palace, Bukchon Hanok village also pulls you back into the Joseon dynasty with its traditional architecture. The neighborhood is filled with beautiful houses and winding streets. Again you see the traditional clothing worn all around the area, and you can find a great photo spot on almost every corner. You can see many people frequent the main street for photos, however make sure not to limit yourself! Take a look at the beautiful architecture and many people dressed in hanbok!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>Han River <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Whether it is a calming walk down the riverside road or a cute picnic, so many parts of the Han River make it a perfect landmark of Seoul. I think the river is a great choice no matter the time of day. However, If you are looking for a unique experience, I would recommend trekking over for the night time fountain show located along Banpo bridge. The light show is filled with nostalgic music and pretty visuals. Clothes fill the streets, but also performances from some of Korea\u2019s most artistic students. The Hongik University area has many aspects that make it a must see when traveling to Seoul.
