Run Run 2015
Run Walk / Run Group at NAFSA

This year marked a special anniversary for the annual TEAN Fun Walk / Run at NAFSA. Not only was it our 5th anniversary for the event, but this is also our 20th anniversary for The Education Abroad Network.  This year our cause for the Fun Run was Nepal earthquake relief.

TEAN made a donation on the behalf of each participant who came to the event in Boston. We also had our students across six locations participate in Fun Runs organized by our local staff. Our Chicago team even went for a local Fun Walk together around the city.

Everyone who participated helped us raise more than $7,850 for Nepal earthquake relief that will be donated to a grassroots charity where we know the donation will have a huge impact. We also received personal messages from several participants letting us know they made a donation.

Cranbrook Explorers & Travellers Overseas Partnerships: Since 2001, CETOP has supported families, villages, schools and medical facilities in the Rasuwa District of Nepal. One of our former resident directors from Sydney is involved in this organization and has traveled there three times and has seen impact the charity has had. Currently, they are concentrating on building shelters to protect the villagers from the impending monsoon season.

Thank you to everyone who participated and also donated. Please see more photos from all of the events on the TEAN Facebook page.
