Below are the housing options for students studying abroad at The University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology for the Fall 2024 semester. Please read below for specific details on each option, then complete the Housing Preference Form , which includes roommate requests. The deadline to complete the form is April 1st, 2024.

  • Cost: $8,825 (single bedroom in 6-bedroom apartment)
  • Location: South Bank
  • Management: Scape
  • Commute: 10 -15 minute walk to the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) campus; 25-minute bus ride to University of Queensland (UQ) campus, and 25-minute bus ride to QUT Kelvin Grove campus; approximately 15-20 minutes walking time to the Brisbane city center.
  • Option Available For: TEAN participants attending the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology.

Description:  These units are located in the riverside suburb of South Bank close to Brisbane’s urban playground with beautiful Parklands, beaches, art galleries, museums, the West End’s vibrant nightlife and the CBD’s Queen Street Mall just over the river. Students are directly opposite of the South Bank train station and busway, and within walking distance of QUT. UQ students are about 25 minutes away via public transportation. In-unit laundry is not included within this accommodation, but is available for students in the building at a cost of approximately $8. Scape has a very student-focused environment, and plenty of amenities including gym access, a movie room, a BBQ area, and more. Each student will have an individual bedroom within a 6-bedroom apartment (subject to availability). This option is self-catered, so you will have a full kitchen and living space within your shared apartment.

  • Management: International House Residential College
  • Commute: Short walk to middle of campus
  • Option Available For: TEAN participants attending the University of Queensland.

  • AC: No

Description: On-campus living at International House (IH) is a relaxed, green, and safe environment where students from Australia and abroad study and live together. IH offers everything you need to succeed including catering, free academic support, organized social, cross-cultural and cultural events, and access to UQ’s premier gym and pool facilities. Each student will have an individual bedroom within a 4-5 bedroom dorm style apartment, with ample floor space, a study desk, built-in wardrobe, and large windows with city or campus views. Each unique pagoda-style tower offers a common room with a shared common kitchenette, lounge and dining space. Plus, there’s a fireplace in most towers – great for evening or weekend relaxing. It’s campus living at its best.
