ICMS Summer Housing

ICMS On-Campus

On-campus accommodation at ICMS allows students easy access to everything Manly has to offer, with amenities that are critical for study abroad students – like free wi-fi! Situated near classroom space, students living on campus will feel a part of the ICMS community. 

Housing Features:  

• The housing is dorm-style, and rooms are equipped with desks, chairs, lamps, wardrobes, mirrors, fans, heating, and wi-fi 
• All linens are provided, and rooms are dusted and vacuumed once a week 
• Each floor includes a shared kitchenette, common showers, toilets, and ironing facilities 
• There is a laundry room on site and a gym within walking distance 
• Residents have 24-hour access to computer labs 
• The building includes lounge areas with TVs, tennis courts and sports facilities, and a bar/game room 
• Students receive support from the residential assistants (senior ICMS student leaders who live on campus) 
• Most units are a mix of local and international students, so you can get to know a wide variety of people during your time on campus 
• Manly Beach is within easy walking distance, and some single rooms even have an ocean view 

Meals: On-campus housing includes a mandatory meal plan. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided Monday through Friday. Brunch and dinner are provided Saturdays and Sundays. 

Commute: Steps away from classes. Approximately a 10–15-minute walk to the local beaches and nightlife in Manly. Sydney’s central business district is accessible in under 40 mins via ferry. 

Pricing: Your initial invoice will include the lowest-cost housing option ($5,050). In your Housing Preference Form, you will rank your preferences among the options below. If you are allocated a housing option that is a higher-cost option than $5,050, you will receive a second invoice to pay the difference in price about 1-2 months prior to departure (when final allocations are released). 

• Triple or Quad: $5,050 
• Double: $5,650 
• Single without a view: $6,600 
• Single with a view: $6,995 

Accessibility: Accessible options are available upon request. Please feel free to reach out to your program manager for more information on this housing option. 

Additional Housing Notes: 

• ICMS housing is very basic and in a historical building. Please be aware that air conditioning is not available (although the close proximity to the water allows for a great ocean breeze). A/C is not a common feature of Australian student housing, despite the warm climate, but you can purchase a fan if needed. 
• All units are same-sex placements (according to the sex listed on your passport). If you have any concerns regarding gendered placements, please reach out to your program manager or make a note in the Comments section of the Housing Preference Form. 
• You’ll spend most of your time anywhere other than your room regardless of your housing! But, if you wish to opt out of TEAN-organized on-campus housing, please indicate this on the Housing Preference Form. Keep in mind that on-campus housing does fill up every semester.
