UNSW Village

UNSW Village makes for a great home base during your time in Sydney! It is a student apartment complex conveniently located next to campus. “The Village” offers a community feel and opportunities for residents to connect for a game of pool or a BBQ in the courtyard. 

Housing Features:  

• Apartment units have 5 to 6 bedrooms, fully furnished, with a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room 
• Each student has their own bedroom with a desk, desk chair, and wardrobe 
• All linens are provided upon arrival, and there is a laundry room on site 
• The Village has a 3-level lounge with study spaces, a game room, and a TV room 
• The campus gym is a 2-minute walk away 

Meals: The housing is self-catered with a shared kitchen in each unit. TEAN students are provided with a kitchen pack upon arrival that includes all essential cookware. 

Location: UNSW Village is located just off campus – so close that you will likely not even realize that you’re off campus! Not only are you steps away from classes, but you’re also super close to the nearby shops and restaurants. The nearest shopping center is a 5 – 10-minute walk from campus, and the ‘Eastgardens’ shopping mall is a short bus ride away.

Additional Housing Notes: 

• Student housing units in Australia are typically mixed-gender by default, and you may be placed in a mixed-gender apartment depending on student numbers and gender breakdowns. If you are not comfortable sharing an apartment with members of a different gender identity, you will have a chance to indicate this to us in your Housing Preference Form. 
• Please be aware that air conditioning is not available at UNSW Village. A/C is not a common feature of Australian student housing, despite the warm climate, but there is a ceiling fan in each room to keep the unit breezy.
