Michaela is born and raised a New York native but wanted to switch up the setting in some warmer weather by studying at the University of Florida. She is currently finishing up her degree in Telecommunications. Michaela fulfilled her lifelong dream of living in Australia and decided to study abroad at Griffith University on the Gold Coast with TEAN. Being a beach person, Michaela fit perfectly well in the Gold Coast atmosphere and claims she experienced the best six months of her living existence thus far. She discovered her passion for travel, adrenaline, adventures, stepping outside comfort zones, and love for meeting new people from all different places. She hopes to have a career that allows her to travel the world one day (and maybe take a trip or two, or ten back in the land down under). Aside from travel, her passions include videography, photography, fitness, sports, anything involving the outdoors, and animals.
Sammy is an international student from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and is currently studying marketing at Pace University in New York City. Last summer she studied with TEAN to Shanghai, China and says it was the best summer yet for her. Not only has she grown so much from the trip, she also made some life-long friendships. One of Sammy’s passions is traveling, she has been in 4 continents, visited more than 25 countries, and studied abroad in 6 cities. She also has a passion for taking photos of food.
Sophia is a junior at California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo, and is currently majoring in animal science with a concentration in pre-medical sciences. She studied in Perth, Australia during the summer and fall quarter of her junior year. It was an amazing educational and personal experience for her. Not only did she learn a lot, but it opened her eyes to the opportunities the rest of the world has to offer. She was also able to travel to Bali, Thailand, and New Zealand after her semester was over. She has found a passion for traveling and seeing the world. Her other interests are hiking, working out, training dogs, going to the beach, and enjoying time with her friends.
