Every year during the NAFSA: Association of International Educators Annual Conference and Expo, TEAN organizes a Fun Run/Walk to get people moving and raise money for causes close to our heart.

At the end of May we held the 9th annual TEAN Fun Run/Walk during the NAFSA Annual Conference in Washington D.C.

Since kicking off the annual Fun Run in 2011, TEAN has donated more than $38,000 to various charities both within the U.S. and internationally in the countries we offer study abroad programs. This year, TEAN donated $5,000 to two amazing organizations: Jan’s Tutoring House in Washington D.C and the Christchurch Foundation in New Zealand.

A nonprofit organization, Jan’s Tutoring House specializes in providing enriching educational activities for inner city youth in Washington, D.C. youths through one-on-one mentoring in after-school and summer programs.  Following the mosque shootings on March 15 in Christchurch, New Zealand, The Christchurch Foundation established the Our People, Our City Fund to help raise money to help the families and Muslim communities impacted by the tragic events. We’re proud to be able to support both of these organizations and look forward to organizing the run again next year.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the TEAN Fun Run while in Washington D.C.!
