Itinerary

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Note: Itinerary is subject to change dependent on when you study abroad.

Day One

Make your own way from Melbourne airport to the hostel. Tonight’s accommodation is included in the excursion cost but there are no set activities – you are free to explore Melbourne on your own this evening.  

Day two

Enjoy a brunch before heading out for a walking tour of the city. The tour will showcase the historical, cultural and social elements of this great city including the old world laneways of the European Quarter, take in some of the cute original Melbourne districts and see for yourself the coffee culture Melbourne is so famous for . The best of Melbourne are the hidden treasures and urban villages surrounding the city that require local knowledge to locate. If you want to maximize your time in this diverse city, you won’t want to miss this tour! 

In the afternoon, we will have lunch as a group and then head to Melbourne’s favorite beachside suburb, St Kilda, just outside Melbourne’s Central Business District. Take in the beachside vibes as you stroll along countless cake and ice cream shops of famous Acland Street and join the many roller skaters and backpackers who can’t get enough of this town!

Dinner is on your own tonight. Ask your TEAN excursion leader for recommendations! 

Day three

Today you will explore one of Melbourne’s many famous precincts! Brunswick Street is the artsy epicenter of Fitzroy, Melbourne’s first suburb. Known for its stylish blend of vintage and designer shopping, record stores, hip eateries and live music venues, Brunswick Street is the heartbeat of Melbourne’s Northside and there’s nowhere better to experience these vibes than Rose Street Artist Market. Here you’ll find artisans selling wares, street performers, endless rows of vintage stalls and the colorful, artsy eclectic people that the Northside attracts. And, while in the Northside, why not have burgers in a train on  top of a building? The group will head to Easey’s for a unique lunch in the neighboring suburb of Collingwood. 

You’ll have the afternoon free to explore Melbourne on your own! 

In the evening, we will come together for dinner in Little Italy before heading out to a local comedy show. 

Day four

On the final day of the excursion, you will have some free time to explore Melbourne and grab any last-minute souvenirs before you travel back to your host city.
